Hi! My name is Dan Burkhart and this is my personal and professional website, you will find informatiom about me, my interests, and meteorology.

I am expecting to graduate from Central Michigan University in May 2009. I am very excited about graduation and finding employment in operational meterology or related field. I would like to use my knowledge of meteorology, GIS, and life experience to apply myself to a company or government entitiy to further my personal and professional development.

My current interests are with companies/government who need specialized forecasting products to improve effiecieny, productivity, and profit. Weather affects all types of business, from supermarkets to big and small hardware/home inprovement outfits, energy suppliers and producers, agribusiness, and local government. Supplying businesses with pinpoint information tailored to their needs is key so they can remain competetive and profitable in a tough economy. From floods, drought, severe heat and cold, blizzards, and hurricanes; businesses can maximize profits by either increasing inventory/supply or reducing inventory to quell losses from a natural disaster.
